Did you know there are more than 27,900 ATMs in Australia? This amount, reached by March 2010, is well over three times the number of ATMs in Australia just 12 years earlier in 1998.

Banks own just under half the ATMs. The rest are owned by financial institutions and independent providers, such as Customers ATM, which has the largest ATM fleet in the country of more than 5600 ATMs.
